JESSICA SORRELS | Director of Finance
Jessica was born in Oakland, CA, and graduated High School in New Orleans, LA. She grew up in a military family, so she has lived in many places within the United States. After High School, she attended TCU in Fort Worth and majored in Accounting. In her Junior year, she met her husband, Gary, through a mutual friend. They married shortly after graduation. They lived in the DFW area for the first half of their marriage. Gary was transferred to Tyler, his hometown, in 2005. They have two sons, Matthew and Zachary.
After graduating college, Jessica worked as an Accountant for Domino’s Corporation and then Matrix Telecom. She then worked as the Accounting Manager for M.D. Anderson Tarrant County and CPR/Heartplace. After having children, she stayed at home with them until they moved to Tyler. Jessica started working part-time for Whitehouse UMC and then in 2012 started at Dayspring UMC.
