DAYSPRING STUDENTS MINISTRY (DSM)
Dayspring Student Ministry (DSM) is a fellowship of students in grades 6-12. Dayspring’s Student Ministry exists to provide a community for students to offer themselves in missions and mature in their Christian faith. At Dayspring our student ministry is not held together by a single person, but supported and implemented by a team of volunteers from the congregation who cast a “web” of meaningful relationships around each student. We all want to belong, be valued, and have purpose. At Dayspring, we strive to ensure no one is just another face in the crowd. We are a family where every individual is valued, accepted and is irreplaceable. We strive to meet students wherever they are in their faith journey, walk alongside them as they grow, and be a safe place where they can ask questions and learn to seek faithful answers. Our youth programs are a blend of fellowship, discipleship, and missions.
We worship together at Dayspring UMC at 9:30 and 11:00 am. We do not meet on Sunday mornings as we feel that it is important for youth to worship with their families and have the opportunity to serve in other ministry areas.
DSM fellowships and spends time in discipleship together on
SUNDAY EVENINGS FROM 5:30 – 8:00pm.
Each week during the school year our students gather for games, dinner, and discipleship as they spend time in community and fellowship with one another. Every week is different, and you never know what type of wild crazy activity you might find yourself in the middle of. Come as you are and be yourself, you are sure to have a blast.
Our Sunday evening discipleship classes are separated by grade and we use LIVE curriculum developed by Simply Youth Ministries. This curriculum is a 7 year curriculum plan that helps students experience who God is and who he created them to be. Through the curriculum our students discover the value of placing Jesus at the center of everything. Dayspring wants to partner with our families and empower parents to have faith conversations with their students. Therefore, after each lesson parents receive an overview and are given talking points to help start conversations with students at about about faith and life as a teenager.
We would love for you to become part of our family.
